There are several ways you can bring your energy bills down, no matter who your supplier is, but you need to be proactive because the energy companies are not going to be proactive on your behalf. Firstly, give your energy supplier a call. Tell them that you would like to bring your energy bills down, that you need to reduce them, and ask how they can help you. Be proactive with your energy bills
If you want to lower your energy bill you need to be proactive about it. If you are running a household then call all your family members together for a meeting. If you are running a company then call all your staff together for a meeting. Tell them how high the energy bills are and that the cost of energy is not sustainable for anyone anymore. Tell them that you all have to be part of the solution in saving energy. And then, give them concrete ideas in bringing bills down. Some of the ways that they can help is by only using lights when they are needed. If a light is not necessary, it must be switched off. And if appliances are not being used they too much be switched off, not just the appliance but the plug in the wall. If you are at home, the last person to take a shower in the morning needs to switch the geyser off and the first person to shower at night needs to switch it on again. Tell your family and your staff that you have looked into or you are looking into the option of getting an energy management system installed or an energy load management system installed. Tell them what this will mean and how you will be able to lower all the bills, but tell them that they still need to play their part in conserving energy. With an energy management system and all your family household members or all your staff doing their bit to conserve energy, your electric bills are going to decrease substantially. And with the high cost of energy world-wide, you need to do this.
